Water's Edge Montessori is a
small program with up to 6 children in a home setting, offering individual and small group instruction.
The environment is set up to meet and challenge the young learners minds in a holistic approach based on Montessori philosophy and curriculum materials.
- Literacy enriched environment teaching phonemic awareness, alphabetic principles, phonics and whole language reading instruction. Fall and Spring researched based early literacy assessments are provided to all children.
- Math and sensorial curriculum where children will learn through the senses, numeration, numbers, patterns, units of measurements and emergent geometry and algebra.
- Nature and Science will take the child on a journey through discovery in understanding the natural world of living things, gardening, the animal and plant kingdoms, and doing hands on science experiments.
- Every Day living skills focus on learning social skills, independence and responsibility, care of self, care of environment. grace and courtesy, snack and food preparation.
- Music Garden curriculum will teach your child how to appreciate a variety of music, rhythm, and beat through listening, playing instruments, singing and dancing.
